What’s the difference between continuous pyrolysis plant and intermittent pyrolysis plant?

With the advancement of science and technology, automatic and labor-saving pyrolysis plant has become more and more popular, and our DOING pyrolysis plant is no exception. Therefore, in recent years, we have started to produce continuous pyrolysis plant based on intermittent pyrolysis plant. Today, I will introduce the difference between continuous pyrolysis plant and intermittent pyrolysis plant.

continuous pyrolysis plantContinuous pyrolysis plant and intermittent pyrolysis plant

1. Differences in the degree of automation

Intermittent pyrolysis plant works in batch mode and requires about four workers. It feeds and discharges the slag approximately once a day, completing the entire process before moving on to the next batch. Continuous pyrolysis plant is an uninterrupted working method with continuous feeding and discharging system controlled by the PLC system, which is fully automatic and requires almost no human intervention.

2. Differences in raw material handling

If you are using an intermittent plant, then you can put the whole tire directly into the reactor without any pretreatment, but if you are using a continuous pyrolysis plant, the raw material requirement for a continuous pyrolysis plant is relatively high because the continuous pyrolysis plant needs to be fed continuously and hermetically. You need to shred the tires into powder.

3. Differences in slag discharge equipment

Continuous pyrolysis plant is continuous and uninterrupted slag discharge, where carbon black is discharged during pyrolysis. Due to the high discharge temperature of carbon black from the continuous pyrolysis plant, it is necessary to keep the discharge temperature below 60 degrees Celsius, so a three-stage slagging system is used. While, intermittent pyrolysis plant is a one-time slag discharge, where all tires must be fully pyrolyzed before the carbon black can be discharged. And carbon black need to be discharged after the reactor has cooled down, so only a carbon black elevator is needed to collect the carbon black.

4. Differences in motors

Explosion-proof motors are used for the continuous pyrolysis plant because it is necessary to run the machine continuously for more than 30 days without interruption, and ordinary motors are used for the intermittent pyrolysis plant.

These are the main differences between continuous pyrolysis plant and intermittent pyrolysis plant. If you want high efficiency and automation, you can choose continuous pyrolysis plants, and if you want to save investment costs, you can choose intermittent pyrolysis plants.
