1. Working principle of continuous feed biochar reactor

The continuous feed biochar reactor is mainly composed of raw material pretreatment system, feeding system, carbonization reaction system, cooling system, circulation system and discharging system. Its working principle is as follows:
Raw material pretreatment: The double-shaft crusher crushes the raw material into particles below 30mm, and then sends it to the drum dryer to dry it until the moisture content is below 15%, reducing the load of the charcoal making ovens.
Feeding: The biomass raw material is fed into the charcoal making oven through a spiral feeder. The biomass raw material enters from one end of the feed pipe, and the drive device drives the spiral blade to rotate at high speed, and pushes the raw material axially to the reaction area by virtue of the pitch rotation force.

Carbonization reaction: The sealed charcoal making oven is heated by an external heat source such as a burner. The biomass raw material moves along a certain path in the closed carbonization furnace. Under oxygen-free high temperature conditions, the organic matter in the raw material decomposes to produce combustible gas and biochar.
Circulation system: Combustible gas is produced during biomass carbonization. After purification and separation, the combustible gas is sent to the combustion chamber for combustion treatment through an induced draft fan. The generated hot gas continues to heat the charcoal making oven, and the exhaust gas is discharged after being treated by a shaklon dust removal and tail gas purification tower.
Cooling: The material that has completed the carbonization reaction enters the cooling system and is cooled to room temperature through natural cooling or DOING circulating water cooling device.
Discharging: The cooled biochar is discharged through the discharging system for subsequent processing or packaging.
